Lightning Rod Kit

Lightning protection safeguards both your flagpole and nearby structures. The LRK-9019 Lightning Rod Kit includes a 5/8” copper-clad rod, aluminum ground cable, and brass connector.

For shoe base poles, drill and tap a 5/16”-18 NC hole on the base plate and wire to anchor bolts or rebar. For ground-set poles, attach the cable using a 5/16” bolt through the sleeve. The lightning rod assembly drives deep into the earth to safely discharge strikes.

Use the included ½-inch alloy pipe and 7-strand ground cable to complete the circuit. All joints should be tight, corrosion-free, and positioned for direct electrical grounding.

This simple add-on enhances safety and extends your flagpole’s lifespan — a smart choice for tall or exposed installations.
