Return & Warranty Policy

1. Refund Policy

• All sales are final once accepted unless otherwise stated in writing by AFEX.
• Custom or non-stock items, including but not limited to anodized flagpoles, powder-coated flagpoles, tapered shafts, and shoe-base poles, are non-refundable and non-cancelable once released to production.
• Standard parts orders may be canceled or modified prior to release to production without penalty. Orders canceled or modified after release to production are subject to a thirty-five percent (35%) restocking fee.
• Anodized items canceled without prior written approval from AFEX are subject to a one hundred percent (100%) restocking fee.
• Refunds, if approved, are issued at the sole discretion of AFEX and may be processed by corporate check.

2. Return Policy

• All returns require prior written authorization in the form of a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by AFEX.
• Buyer must request an RMA within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery for eligible parts or components.
• Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and shipped prepaid by Buyer.
• Authorized returns are subject to a restocking fee of twenty-five percent (25%) to thirty-five percent (35%) plus freight.
• Freight, handling, and processing fees are non-refundable.
• Buyer shall be responsible for all risk of loss or damage to products during return shipping.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

• Buyer shall inspect all shipments at the time of delivery and note any visible damage on the carrier’s bill of lading.
• Buyer must document all damages or shortages with photographs and/or video.
• Buyer must provide written notice of damages or shortages to AFEX within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.
• Products damaged in transit must be refused at delivery or reported immediately.
• Claims submitted after forty-eight (48) hours shall be deemed waived and will not be honored.

4. Warranty Policy

• AFEX passes through the manufacturer’s warranty applicable to flagpole shafts, hardware, and accessories. AFEX provides no additional warranty beyond the manufacturer’s warranty.
• Flags are considered consumable products and are not warrantied except for severe defects in materials or workmanship.

Exclusions. The warranty does not apply to damage, failure, or defects resulting from:

• Improper installation;
• Use of oversized or multiple flags on a single flagpole;
• Wind-induced vibration;
• Storage of flagpoles in wrapping or shipping containers;
• Impact, collision, vandalism, misuse, abuse, or acts of God;
• Improper grounding or unsuitable soil conditions (including, without limitation, soils with a pH below 5 or above 9).

Guidelines. Buyer must adhere to the National Association of Architectural Metal Manufacturers (NAAMM) Guide Specification for Design of Metal Flagpoles for proper flag sizing and use.

Exclusive Remedy. Buyer’s sole and exclusive remedy under any applicable warranty is repair or replacement of the defective product as determined by the manufacturer. Costs of removal, reinstallation, transportation, or freight are expressly excluded.

Limitation of Liability. In no event shall AFEX’s liability exceed the purchase price of the product giving rise to the claim. AFEX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.
